CLASSIFICATION: What Classifies As A Collaboration
– A collaboration is any project in which two (2) or more individuals work together to produce content. This includes but is not limited to:
• Joint Artworks – Any piece where all parties contribute to the final visual outcome.
• Character Designs – Collaborative development of character designs, appearances, and/or lore.
• Writing Collaborations – Co-written stories, scripts, and/or world-building efforts.
• Alternate Universe (AU) – Any collaborative effort where one or more creations are placed in an alternate universe. They may be re-imagined.
• Role-Playing (RP) – Interactive storytelling that involves one or more creations in a shared narrative.
• Headcanons & Fan Interpretations – Non-canon ideas or discussions about a creator's content.

COPYRIGHT & OWNERSHIP
– All collaborations are fully subject to my Personal Content Terms of Service.
– Participating in a collaboration with me does not override my ownership rights. I retain full rights over any and all contributions I make unless explicitly stated otherwise in a written agreement.

USAGE
– My contributions to collaborations may not be used in any way that violates the terms outlined under Personal Content – Usage Rights unless explicitly stated otherwise in a written agreement.

TERMINATION
– I retain the right to withdraw from the collaboration at any time. No reasons must be given.
– Upon termination, all of my contributions immediately revert to me unless explicitly stated otherwise in a written agreement.
– Upon termination, any and all contributions made by me must cease to be used in any capacity. This includes but is not limited to:
• Complete removal of my work – drawings, writings, characters, character designs, concepts, lore, AUs
• Cessation of use in any ongoing or future projects that incorporate my contributions.

Upon commissioning CMCrusoe, one acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to the Terms of Service in full.

GENERAL

18+
– Only individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older may conduct business with the commissioned artist involving real currency. This includes but is not limited to: commissioning services, purchasing artwork, or any other transaction requiring payment.Once Per Month
– A single client may only commission the Artist once (1) per month (this includes either a drawn commission, custom, OR trade. Not accumulated).

COPYRIGHT & USAGE

NO COMMERCIAL/FOR PROFIT USAGE
– All content created by the commissioned artist remains the sole intellectual property of said artist unless explicitly stated otherwise in a written agreement.
– Commissioned content may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, or used for commercial purposes, publicity, resale, or for profit in any form unless explicit written permission is given.NON-COMMERCIAL USAGE
– Commissioned content may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes [e.g., profile pictures, wallpapers, personal reference charts].
– Commissioned content is to be used solely by the commissioner.EDITING & MANIPULATION
– Any form of editing, alteration, or modification of the commissioned piece by the commissioner or any third party is strictly prohibited unless explicitly stated otherwise in a written agreement.CLIENT POSTING
– Client may re-upload, post, share their commission, provided proper credit is given

– If CMCrusoe is not on that site, then provide a link back this siteARTIST POSTING
– By default, the commissioned artist will post WIPs and final pieces to social media
– If the client prefers that their commission is kept private, they must make it known at the inquiry stage to ensure it remains unpublished
– Client may change their mind about the privacy of their commission once (1). Exceptions may be made depending on the situation.
– If the client requests their commission remain private but later shares it publicly [e.g., social media, open-invite servers], they grant the commissioned artist implicit permission to do the same.

AI, NFT, BLOCKCHAIN, CRYPTOCURRENCY + POLICY

Using the commissioned piece for anything involving AI (Artificial Intelligence), NFT, blockchain, cryptocurrency, or anything alike is STRICTLY prohibited.

REVISIONS & EDITS

– One (1) major revision to the piece during the rough sketch phase [changing the pose, adding to the scene] may be requested.
– Up to three (3) minor revisions to the piece during the rough sketch phase [expression, minor accessories] may be requested.
– Once the final sketch is agreed upon, no further revisions are permitted.

PAYMENT & PRICING

– Payment will be in $ USD
– Full payment is required upon agreement of the final sketch

DEADLINES

– Estimated completion times may vary. The commissioned artist can provide an estimated time frame, but this does not guarantee an exact delivery date.
– Rush or emergency commissions are not available.

PROGRESS & UPDATES

– Client will receive WIPs throughout the process of the commission.
– Client may request a WIP at any point of the commission.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

– Client may cancel their commission at any time.
– Full refund will be issued (if final lines haven't been completed)
– 50% refund will be issued (if final lines have been completed)
– Refunds are not issued for completed works.

CLIENT & ARTIST CONDUCT

Respectful & Civil Interactions
– Both the client and the commissioned artist are expected to communicate professionally and respectfully at all times.
– Harassment, excessive demands, and/or disrespectful behavior will result in an immediate termination of the commission. The client’s money will be refunded (depending on the stage of completion), but (depending on the nature of the termination) any further business inquiries will not be accepted.

ORDERING A COMMISSION

– Client must have an idea of what they would like in a piece [e.g., pose, expression, mood, coat color/pattern (if it’s a custom design)].References Required
– Visual character references are required. Color palettes are extremely helpful as well.
– If a specific pose is desired, references are appreciated (be it an image or a sketch)No Anonymous/Gift Commissions
– Commissions featuring content belonging to others without their full knowledge and consent are not accepted.

DESIGNS
(Adopts, Giveaways, & Customs)

Payment will be through Cash App, DeviantArt commissions, or Ko-fi.After payment you will receive:
1. full resolution, transparent PNG (shaded) --- if base has it available
2. full resolution, transparent PNG (un-shaded) --- if base has it available
3. color paletteIf receiving files via dA stash, they will remain onsite for two (2) weeks after purchase before they are deleted.

CREDITS
– Credit the creator of the base/lines the design was made on
– Credit CMCrusoe for the design
– Tag CMCrusoe in the description

CHANGES
– Morphology such as [species/breed, coat type, gender, eye color] may be changed
– Minimal changes may be made to the design itself so long as the original design is not changed beyond obvious recognition [minor edits, minimal white spotting, subtle aging/greying, scars, damaged body parts]
– Add-ons such as [paint, lights, accessories, clothing] are permitted
– Credit is still required for the original design if any changes are made

RESALE
– Reselling for more than the original price is prohibited (without additional art)

I have disabled desktop notifications on Discord. That way I am able to keep my status Online without having to deal with constant pop-ups on my screen.
If my status is Online, Idle, or Offline, my DMs are OPEN.
If my status is Do Not Disturb, then my DMs are CLOSED, with the exceptions of business transactions (Patreon or others) or emergencies.

Notifications
